Hi ya guys,

I have fished floating bread and banded floating dog Biscuits on my pole before and caught several carp off the top, but have never fished either on a rod. whats the best way of doing this.

Tetly, you won at sam's fishing floating baits out further than a pole can reach, what method did you use ?

Cheers

Mark G
Ps see you sunday at woodpeckers

hi mark
just like fishing the wagler with constant 4-6mm sinking pellets going in ,i find that top fishing requires steady supplies of floaters to keep them interested and within your grasps!!
small top baits like non-pumped expanders or dog biscuits are great holders as they are small and if fished right you can get an eruption on the water that gives you a hard on haha
using 4-6 k of expanders would be expected to hold them!!! its not cheap but can be if you can hold them on dog biscuit!!

then all you gotta do is present a bait to hook them!!!
thats where i begin to struggle....
bread is sucked and spat ,but will catch fish but never in great amounts...
single maggot with foam strip on hook will also work but i havnt had em one after another!

i only won sams with 9 fish mark fo 32lb over 6 hours..... thats pretty crap and was just lucky that the pole boyz didnt produce the goods!!

open ended feeders with foam attached, 6 inch leg with soft pellet or hard and feeder with light groundbait and pellets.... watch the carp knock the feeder all over the place to get the stuff out!!!!!

or just work that waggler amounst the floaters m8 with a 6-12 inch leg...

my special tip is to cast well past your area and then put rod under water and reel into your swim to sink line and hold your floating method there as long as possible...

how about sharing some tips that you have learnt over the years m8?
i have a tips n tricks section at the begining if you would like to help out the guys!!!
Very Happy
how about info on other venues you have fished? that could also help others out m8...

looking forward to woodpeckers m8y

one tip is a floating candel get a candel cut it about 2ins long drill out the middle the candel will float it give you a good casting distance as well also looks like a bit of bread that will atract the fish to your bread flake or dog biscit .also get some old foam dip it in any thing you like very good when the carp are having it .one more tip is to use a p v a sock put some dog biscits in it with your bait keeps the bait tight together simple yer hope this is of some good to ya all dave Shocked
