paste is a bait everyone thinks is a summer bait, but i have had had quite a lot of fish on it this winter. smaller hooks. size 16 and a small piece of paste,, only feeding a little and often low oil pellets.. also chopped worm is a killer on hard days, and the good old bread..

if i use paste ,i use the coil method usually the preston ones but never seem to get on with paste myself.
banding pellet hasnt really done me any good either so if i need a big bait or pellet i use a small hair ...but always use have my trusted maggots and casters for the top...
worm always works better for me if its been 1/2 ? full ones give to many misses..
catfood in groundbait or cinnamon are my fav mixes

if you get the chance try the softies mini soft boilie type baits that hook easily... Razz great bait on the drop when they are on the feed and secures the much better fish!

tetly if you want i will show you how i fish the paste. on its day nothing can touch it. just make sure you plum up and fish with the paste just touching the bottom, under shot the float so with the weight of the paste it will take the float down,, and dont strike at all the little dips, wait untill the float go,s out of sight or the elastic booms out. or other little tip is to fish with a pellet on a hair rig and wrap a small bit of paste around the pellet .
so if you miss the bite you still have the pellet on the hook.. see you on sunday, wrap up boy. it,s gonna be cold

the bagging waggler is fished mostly in the summer when the carp are having it mix your ground bait a little on the dry side so it just's holds together you will need to experiment a bit to get the right mix m8 you can put a few micro pellets dead maggots pellets corn ect in your mix put a small boilly on a hair rig the little white ones you get from ringers baits or just a pellet maggot ect the ider is to keep on casting out every say 30 secs in the same spot and hopfully the will come to it one of the best places for this is drayton res in daventry just out side coventry top water dun a fishomania 3 years ago man who won it hade 243lb of carp on it 3 keepnets in 5 hours takes some doing lol any how think thats about it m8 give it a go dave.
